Feb 2014 – Singapore company Goh IGS & Automation Pte Ltd (GIA) has been awarded earlier this month, the official “Service and Repair Partner” status for Unitor Nitrogen systems and Maritime Protection IG Systems.
The setup of a service support in Singapore for these critical systems fulfils the long-awaited request from ship owners and ship managers, who need these systems to be fully functional throughout cargo operations.
The two brands, owned by Wilhelmsen Technical Solutions (WTS), are global market leaders for marine and offshore vessels. GIA engineers have started training with Maritime Protection engineers since Jan 2013. Training on Unitor systems has also commenced late last year. Engineers were given hands-on opportunities to conduct service onboard for these complicated and critical systems under the guidance of Norwegian technical experts. GIA also has a strong stock of critical spares in Singapore to support customer demand.
